Job Description
  1. The incumbent should be able to create technology vision and definition of the future platforms required to support the enterprise.
  2. Lead strategic planning to achieve business goals by identifying and prioritizing development initiatives and setting timetables for the evaluation, development, and deployment of all Technology-based services in the organization.
  3. Assess current IT infrastructure, and evolve tactical and strategic IT plans. Designing and deciding the IT hardware, OS and connectivity solutions.
  4. Managing the entire technology infrastructure at Head Office, Regional Office and Branches.
  5. Implementation Plan, Training the end user, setting up the IT infrastructure and implementation.
  6. Application package evaluation and selection, database management, net work communications, end user computing and operations delivery.
  7. To guide, supervise and monitor day to day operations at Data Centre.
  8. Vendor Management.
  9. Responsible to analyze and upgrade the software to higher levels in terms of technology and functional requirements.
  10. Manage the usage of software and data base licenses in a cost effective manner including the promotion of freeware/open system software.
  11. System performance/Optimizing/forecasting system performance at minimum cost with continuous eye on organization growth targets and system needs.
  12. Capital purchases.
  13. Champion proposals for capital investments in technology.
  14. Core software - Manage core software to ensure/meet required SLAs with users.
  15. Manage network availability and quality to meet required SLAs with users.
  16. Risk Management.
  17. Ensure IT environment is audited at regular intervals, and security concerns of the System/network is maintained at acceptable levels.
